Midway Atoll in the Pacific Ocean is a United States unorganized,
unincorporated insular area administered by the U.S. Navy (Executive Order
199-A on January 20, 1903). The Secretary of the Navy designated the
Commander in Chief of the Pacific Fleet (CINCPAC) to act as its
administrative authority.
